    About Ewing, NJ

Ewing is a township located in Mercer County, New Jersey, near the state capital of Trenton. Formally incorporated in 1834, Ewing was named in honor of former New Jersey Supreme Court Justice Charles Ewing. Originally largely farmland, starting in the early 20th century Ewing began to develop into more of a suburban character. Today, the parts of the township bordering Trenton have more of an urban character, with the remaining parts of the township retaining a suburban feel. Ewing is also home to the headquarters of several New Jersey state agencies, including NJDOT and the New Jersey State Police.

Frequently Asked Questions about Personal Injury in Ewing, NJ

Is pursuing a personal injury claim any different when multiple people are liable for my injuries?

When multiple parties bear liability for your injuries and losses, it can affect how you pursue compensation in your case. Normally, under New Jersey’s comparative negligence rule, each liable party will be responsible to compensate you in proportion to their share of fault. However, New Jersey law also states that if a party is 60 percent or more responsible for your injuries, you can pursue the full extent of your injuries and losses from that party.

If I don’t feel like I was injured in an accident, does that mean I don’t have a personal injury claim?

Never assume that you will not have a personal injury case just because you don’t feel hurt immediately after an accident. Some injuries can take days or even weeks before they begin causing you any pain or symptoms. You should still seek medical attention for an exam and begin documenting the accident and your losses to secure evidence that may be useful for a personal injury claim.
